Thomas Bergman

Thomas Bergman has practiced law for 40 years. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and University of Cincinnati College of Law, he is principal of Thomas H. Bergman & Assoc., LLC., a boutique law firm providing services to a wide range of clients, many involved in commercial real estate. Licensed as a Title Agent in Ohio and accomplished in sophisticated real estate transactions, he has authored the article titled “Negotiating the Commercial Loan Commitment,” which appeared in The Practical Real Estate Lawyer and has taught Real Estate Transactions at the University Of Cincinnati College Of Law. Tom has also lectured and served as a guest speaker for continuing legal education programs. Presentations include “How to Structure Worry-Free Commercial Leases.” Admitted to the Ohio Bar, the Federal District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and the U.S. Supreme Court, Mr. Bergman successfully argued the case of McMillan v. Brune-Harpenau-Torbeck Builders, Inc. in the Ohio Supreme Court. That case held for the first time in Ohio that privity of contract is not a necessary element of a cause of action against a home builder.

Laurence Bergman

Laurence Bergman, a founding member of NAI Bergman, is a licensed real estate broker in Ohio, Kentucky, and Georgia. Larry is a prolific award winner in Commercial Real Estate. In 2014, he was selected to the Midwest Real Estate News Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame. He was also awarded NAI Global’s President’s Award – Eastern US Markets. Out of 400 NAI Global affiliates, NAI Bergman was nominated for Company of the Year and recipient of The Eagle Award – Major Markets – US. Larry has been consistently recognized as a Top 10 Costar Power Broker in Sales and/or Leasing transactions and was also recognized by the Cincinnati Business Courier as a Top 10 Commercial Real Estate broker. Through Larry’s community efforts, NAI Bergman was selected as the 2012 Blue Ash, Ohio Business Advocate of the Year. Larry has a Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate, Urban Development and Marketing from Syracuse University. He writes from personal experience in the leasing area. Larry is a principal in a real estate development and investment business, has served as Chairman of the Greater Cincinnati Commercial Real Estate Council, and continues to sit on its board of directors. He has also served on the Lands Commission in the U.S. Federal Court.

Michael Bergman

Michael Bergman, an attorney by training, and admitted to practice in Arizona, has been involved in commercial real estate for over a decade in both Georgia and Ohio. A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and Emory School of Law, Michael has represented national shopping center owners, international retailers, and office clients and has successfully completed numerous complex leasing transactions acting as an agent for both landlords and tenants. He has been appointed receiver for several major properties and this experience has sharpened his focus on the needs of landlords and tenants. A seasoned author, this is Michael’s third book. Previously he wrote Getting to the Quad and The Graduate Survival Guide. Michael is also a co-author on the highly successful Barron’s AP US History Flashcards – now in its third edition.
